As the vehicle sales media company, AutoTrader required a way of allowing dealers on its network to install an AutoTrader app into their own Facebook page which would allow potential buyers to carry out searches, view available vehicles and car specs and then to make enquiries via the AutoTrader database.
We created a bespoke, hosted Facebook app which could be used by car retailers across the UK, integrated with the AutoTrader vehicle search capability.
How we did it
Working with the AutoTrader IT and Social Media teams, we carried out extensive user experience and user interface (UX and UI) testing to ensure the quality associated with the brand was exceeded. The result of our design and development work was a user-friendly app that automatically synced retailers’ available stock lists live from the AutoTrader stock system using a bespoke API and XML data feeds.
On the back-end, an online control panel was created which allowed AutoTrader staff to manager the dealers given access to the application.
